Report: Lindsay Lohan leaves rehab

Sun Oct 7, 9:54 AM ET

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan has checked out of a drug and alcohol treatment program in Utah that she entered in August, according to People magazine.

Lohan, 21, left the Cirque Lodge treatment center on Friday afternoon, the magazine reported on its Web site, citing statements from her parents.

"I'm proud of her. She's moving ahead with her life," her mother, Dina, told People Friday. "Things were getting out of control. She took action. She took responsibility. She really needed to heal."

The exclusive center, which promises anonymity to clients, refused Saturday to confirm or deny the report. Calls to Lohan's publicist and attorney were not immediately returned.

Lohan's visit to Cirque Lodge was her third trip to rehab since January, a frenetic year in which she wrecked a Mercedes-Benz, released the box-office flop "I Know Who Killed Me" and was arrested more than once.

Lohan has been prominently in the public eye since becoming a star at 11 in the Disney film "The Parent Trap." She's also appeared in "Mean Girls," "Freaky Friday," "Herbie Fully Loaded" and numerous other films. In recent years, however, she's become better known for nonstop appearances on the Hollywood nightclub scene.

"Now that she is going out into the world, I can only hope for the best," her father, Michael Lohan, told People.

In May, Lohan was arrested after crashing her Mercedes-Benz into a tree in Beverly Hills. She was arrested again in July after the mother of Lohan's former personal assistant called 911 to report that her car was being chased by an SUV. The chase ended in Santa Monica, where police arrested Lohan for being behind the wheel.

In both cases, Lohan was found in possession of small amounts of cocaine.

In August, she reached a plea deal on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges stemming from the arrests. The deal called for her to enter treatment, spend a day in jail and perform community service.

"It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs," Lohan said in a statement released by her publicist last August.

Any wonder Lindsay has issues?

Mama Lohan Loves a Photo-Op

Dina & Doug: Click to watchCelebumom Dina Lohan enjoys getting her picture taken by paps -- but doesn't really like talkin' to 'em.

TMZ caught Lindsay's mother in New York yesterday, with "Moving Up" and former "Trading Spaces" designer Doug Wilson, who's doing interiors of what will be Lindsay's new, post-rehab apartment. Dina didn't mind posing with Wilson for a few pics -- until paps started asking about Lilo.

Ma Lohan quickly jumped into Doug's town car -- leaving Wilson waiting outside -- until her own ride showed up. Dina then posed for a few more pics before jetting away.

Lohan family update!

The Lohans Still At Each Other’s Throats lohan.jpg

Michael Lohan, despite spending the week with Lindsay, having some father-daughter one-on-one tie, is blasting Dina for her portrayal of his reunion with Lindsay.

The father/daughter estrangement stemmed from Michael’s drug abuse and anger management problems, but recently Lindsay has let him back in her life. Dina, somehow equally impressed with her own press as Michael, has been telling the media it’s been a healing experience that all parties are mutually overjoyed with.

Michael has a different story. He tells The Insider: “I can’t even say how great it’s been [spending time with Lindsay]. Dina, though, is painting this pretty picture for the media [that she’s happy about Lindsay’s relationship with me], but what she’s doing and saying behind the scenes is a totally different thing.”

I want to know what’s happening behind the scenes! When do we get a Kramer Vs. Kramer-esque publicity battle?

Lohan To Leave Rehab This Week?

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan could be released from rehab as early as this weekend, according to reports.

The star checked into the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah in July to seek counseling following two drunk-driving charges earlier this year.

The 21-year-old also sought help to battle her drug demons after she was caught in possession of cocaine during her DUI arrest.

But Lohan is expected to be released later this week, according to the New York Daily News.

A friend tells the newspaper, "I don't think she knows yet."

Lindsay Lohan stand accused of destroying the marriage of a rock star she was reported to have romanced in rehab.

Lohan was linked with Dead Stays Alive frontman Tony Allen earlier this month after they were both patients at the Cirque Lodge Clinic in Utah.

Now Allen's wife Stephanie has filed for divorce, citing reports of his infidelity with Lohan.

Court documents, obtained by British newspaper News Of The World, claim Allen's "habitual drug use" and "conduct and relationship with another woman" were to blame for the split. The 52-page document includes press cuttings of the reports of his fling with Lohan.

Stephanie Allen is quoted saying: "After my husband's return from rehabilitation I was bombarded with calls alerting me to the fact that my husband's conduct with another woman was on the internet and in gossip magazines."

Tony Allen has always denied sleeping with Lohan, insisting at the time, "We're great friends."

According to a new report, Lindsay Lohan’s treatment for her addictions to drugs and alcohol is having one unfortunate side effect – she is now allegedly addicted to sex.

Insiders at the Cirque Lodge rehab centre where Lindz has been a patient for the past two months are claiming that the former actress has been constantly fantasising about sex and regularly having "erotic" dreams about her ex-boyfriends.

A source tells Star magazine: “She’s been having erotic dreams about her former lovers, like Calum Best, Wilmer Valderama and Jared Leto.

Her counselors are trying to get her to understand that she’s substituting one addiction for another.”

The insider adds: “Besides the obvious dangers of STDs, having indiscriminate sex can lead to emotional heartbreak, and that can lead to drug and alcohol abuse.

If she doesn’t get to grips with this, Lindsay is going to find herself back in rehab-sex addiction.”

Wait, so they're saying you can catch STDs from erotic dreams?

Lindsay Lohan's Rehab Friend Denies Romance | Lindsay Lohan
The former Cirque Lodge rehab patient who had been linked to Lindsay Lohan is denying rumors that the two were ever romantically involved.

"That is against the rules," Tony Allen tells PEOPLE. "She is my friend."

Allen, who recently completed a stint at the Utah rehab facility where Lohan has been undergoing treatment, says the actress is "happy" and that she "feels better about herself."

"There's no cycle of guilt or shame anymore," says Allen. "She wants to give back to her fans and the people that care about her, and she wants to be able to share her many talents," says Allen. "She's very focused on recovery right now."

Lohan befriended Allen, a member of the Atlanta-based band Dead Stays Alive, during his 45-day stay at the Cirque Lodge. Their shared love of music "was some common ground that first initiated our friendship," Allen said.

Last month, the two were photographed hiking and whitewater rafting – activities that are part of Cirque's treatment program.

Allen (who also spoke to Extra this week about their friendship) says the two have still been in touch since he left the facility on Aug. 24. Since then, he has been working on his first record with bandmate Scott Mikell – and he wishes Lohan all the best. "I hope she gets as much out of this life as she could ever want," he added. "Finding an inner peace is very, very important part of recovery, so I do wish those things for her."

Lohan's rep wasn't immediately available for comment.

Good Lohan news!

Lohan Will Stay Put!

Lindsay Lohan ain't goin' nowhere!

Despite reports that LiLo was getting ready to leave the Cirque Lodge in Utah, TMZ has learned otherwise.

A source closely connected to Lindsay says the actress will "continue her stay at the residential facility for the foreseeable future."

The "I Know Who Killed Me" star has been at the treatment facility since last month.

Lindsay News?

Lindsay Lohan, DUI, Lawsuit, Yadda Yadda

September 12th, 2007 at 15:30 by Stuart Heritage

Lindsay Lohan Sued Drink Driving Raymundo Ortega Crash 2005We're aware that it's no longer strictly news when Lindsay Lohan gets taken to court for driving around drunk - mainly because it happens about 900 times a day - but not much else has happened today so we're going to anyway.

Although Lindsay Lohan is currently safely ensconced in deepest Utah, undergoing a vicious redneck, jello-based rehab treatment, it doesn't mean that she's managed to avoid getting sued for driving around like the world's drunkest orangutan. This time Lindsay Lohan is being sued for a car crash she had two years ago, even though at the time she was legally found to be clean of alcohol and illegal drugs, with the police also ruling that the person responsible for the crash was the same van driver who's just decided to sue Lindsay Lohan for it now. You're right, this is looking dangerously like a pro-Lindsay Lohan article. No, we don't like it either. What to do… what to do…

Lindsay Lohan, eh? What a ginger bell-end.

Phew, that was a close one.

Think of Lindsay Lohan in a car and you might think of Lindsay Lohan ploughing off a road drunk, or you may think of Lindsay Lohan furiously chasing another car drunk with cocaine in her pockets. The more unlucky among you may even think of Lindsay Lohan in Herbie: Fully Loaded, in which case you have our undying sympathy.

But while Lindsay Lohan will soon get the punishment that endangering the lives of several people by irresponsibly driving at high speeds with chronically impaired skills - that's a day in jail to you - her past driving mishaps are coming back to haunt her harder than ever. Even though Lindsay Lohan went to rehab then left rehab then went to rehab then left rehab then went to rehab again in order to shake off the startling demons that propel her towards driving like a fucking idiot, it seems like Lindsay will never be able to effectively shake the ghosts of her past off.

Those ghosts now include Raymundo Ortega, who was involved in one of Lindsay Lohan's earliest car crashes back in October 2005, when Lindsay Lohan collided with a van in Los Angeles and then ran off to hide in an antiques shop. This was a unique crash for Lindsay Lohan, as it was pretty much the only one she's ever been in where she wasn't found to be off her face on booze and drugs at the time. It might also be the only crash that wasn't Lindsay Lohan's fault - the van driver was found to be making an illegal turn at the time of the crash. The van driver, of course, was Raymundo Ortega. And Raymundo Ortega is the man who's now suing Lindsay Lohan for a) causing the crash and b) being drunk when the crash happened. Go figure. BBC News reports:

On Tuesday, Superior Court Judge Michael L Stern rejected a motion that argued that Mr Ortega's legal action lacked legal sufficiency. A trial was set for 7 April 2008. "This case is about responsibility and she's not taking responsibility," Mr Ortega's lawyer, Robert G Klein, said outside court in Los Angeles. Mr Ortega is seeking at least $200,000 (£100,000) in damages… "It appears it's the van's fault for making an illegal U-turn," a police spokesman was quoted as saying [at the time]. He added that no drink or drugs were involved in the crash.

We really don't know where to side here. On the one hand, Raymundo Ortega is either a legal genius or a complete moron to try and sue Lindsay Lohan for being drunk in a crash that the police said he caused while also noting that Lindsay Lohan wasn't drunk. At the same time, it is Lindsay Lohan we're talking about here, and she is a nobsack. What to do… what to do…

If you need us we'll be stitching together out 'Go Raymundo Go!' banner to wave around outside the courtroom.
