Bobby: The Sig on the Pre-Nup Ain't Mine!

08-31-2007

Bobby BrownSomebody signed Bobby Brown's name on a prenuptial agreement with Whitney Houston -- but Bobby claims it wasn't him!

Just moments ago, Brown's lawyer, Stacy D. Phillips, told an Orange County Superior Court judge that she had an issue with the prenuptial agreement that Houston's legal team brought up earlier this week.

According to Brown's attorney, Bobby is prepared to take the stand and tell the judge that "It is not his signature" on the document.

Outside the courtroom, Bobby told TMZ, "I just want to see her [daughter Bobbi Kristina] more often and make decisions in her life."

Spears premieres `Gimme More' single

By ERIN CARLSON, Associated Press Writer1 hour, 24 minutes ago

It seems like forever since Britney Spears had six-pack abs and a hit song on the charts. But the fallen pop princess — tarnished by a tumultuous divorce, late-night partying and erratic behavior — is trying to get her music career back on track.

For real this time.

Her new single, "Gimme More," debuted Thursday night on the Web site of New York City pop station Z100, and a new album is due for release Nov. 13 by Jive Records, the label's representative, Wendy Washington, told The Associated Press on Friday.

The song — a clubby, flirty dance track produced by Danja, a protege of hit-maker Timbaland — has the 25-year-old singer bringing back the thumping beats and breathy come-ons of her pop-star past. The song's opening line has an expletive.

Sharon Dastur, a program director at Z100, says listener response has been positive.

"A lot of people automatically had a negative attitude about it before hearing it," she said. "And then the reaction we've been getting, you know, people are so pleasantly surprised by it. You also have the people who have just been cheering on her comeback anyway."

Spears, whose activities have been tabloid fodder since she split from Kevin Federline last November, hasn't released an album of all-new material since 2003's "In the Zone." She came out with a greatest-hits album in 2004, which included a cover of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative."

Spears, the mother of two young sons, has been taking baby steps toward a comeback. She has said she'd hoped to jump back into the music scene this year, and in May, staged several concerts at clubs in California.

While her escapades may have alienated many of her fans, Spears can slip back into their good graces by teaming up with the right people: the music-makers behind some of today's hottest tracks, Dastur said.

"At the end of the day, it is really all about the actual songs," Dastur said. "Her people have to make sure that she's being produced the right way. That the songs are the right songs for her to be coming out with."

Comedy club unhappy with Dick's behavior

Fri Aug 31, 1:09 PM ET

COLUMBUS, Ohio - David Stroupe said it was one of the worst experiences with a performer in the history of the Funny Bone Comedy Club.

He was referring to Andy Dick, a former co-star on the 1990s sitcom "NewsRadio," who appeared at the Funny Bone last weekend.

Stroupe, the club's managing partner, said the 41-year-old actor-comedian made inappropriate comments while on stage, groped patrons, took women into the men's room and urinated on the floor and on at least one person.

A limousine driver was to meet Dick early Monday morning at a hotel near the club, Stroupe said, but he couldn't be found and missed that morning's flight to Los Angeles.

Dick was across town, where he was issued a citation for urinating on the sidewalk by Columbus policeman John Fantin. Police eventually escorted Dick back to the hotel, Stroupe said.

Dick's manager, Max Burgos, did not immediately respond Friday to phone and e-mail messages by The Associated Press seeking comment.

Dick is scheduled to appear Thursday in Franklin County Municipal Court, but instead could pay a $126 fine and court costs for the misdemeanor offense, a court employee said.

Nick Hogan: 'Focus Your Prayers on My Friend'
Nick Hogan is speaking out for the first time since his car crash Sunday in Florida, asking people to "focus your prayers" on his 22-year-old passenger, John Graziano, who remains hospitalized.

In a post on his MySpace page, the 17-year-old son of Hulk Hogan said: "I want to thank everyone who has sent their support to me. Right now I would like to ask all of you to focus your prayers on my friend John."

His 19-year-old sister Brooke Hogan echoed the sentiments on her own MySpace page, adding: "You have all been so wonderful to reach out to me and my family during this time. As you may know, Nick has been released from the hospital, but our good friend John remains hospitalized. Please send your love and prayers to John and his family."

Nick (real name: Nick Bollea) was released from St. Petersburg's Bayfront Medical Center after Sunday's crash, in which the VH1 reality star's Toyota Supra careened off the road, striking a 25-ft.-tall palm tree. No charges have been filed, but police say the case remains under investigation, and Hogan was traveling at an "excessive speed" at the time of the crash.

Graziano, a Marine just back from Iraq, was listed in critical condition. His grandmother Catherine told the Tampa Tribune the prognosis didn't look good.

"To come home from Iraq and for this to happen," she said.

Oh Amy-Why, Why, Why?

Father-in-law: Boycott Winehouse albums

By JILL LAWLESS, Associated Press Writer Tue Aug 28, 8:55 AM ET

LONDON - Amy Winehouse's father-in law says fans should stop buying her records to force the singer to seek help for what he called a drug addiction.

Giles Fielder-Civil said he believed Winehouse and his son, Blake Fielder-Civil, had used cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin and were in "abject denial" about their problem.

"I think they believe they are recreational users of drugs and they are in control," Fielder-Civil told British Broadcasting Corp. radio Tuesday. "Clearly they are addicts."

He said fans should send a message to Winehouse "that her addiction and her behavior are not acceptable."

"Perhaps it is time to stop buying records," Fielder-Civil said. "It's a possibility, to send that message."

However, Winehouse's father said a boycott would do little good.

"It's all clutching at straws," Mitch Winehouse told the BBC. "There's only one way out of this, and anybody with any drug experience will tell you ... that the only way out of this is not sectioning them, not locking them up. At some point they are going to reach rock bottom ... and at that point they will say, `Listen, I don't want to do this anymore.'"

Giles Fielder-Civil said Winehouse's record label should be more "pro-active in helping the couple to get better."

Island Records couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Winehouse, 23, has built her reputation on a soulful voice and a hard-partying image. Her most recent album, "Back to Black," topped the British charts and produced the hit single "Rehab."

Concern for her health has grown since Winehouse was taken to a hospital earlier this month for "severe exhaustion" and spent a short stint in a rehab facility. She has since canceled a series of British concerts and postponed a tour of the U.S. and Canada.

Last week, newspaper pictures showed Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil bloody and bruised, apparently after a fight in a London hotel.

Gossip Web site perezhilton.com said it had received text messages from Winehouse denying Fielder-Civil was responsible for her injuries.
